Lavera Cheap Chat Art Exhibit

It was so exciting going to support a great artist and friend, Fernanda Lavera, at Gallery 23 in New York City. I had such a great time traveling down to this non profit gallery located in the heart of NYC's art district. Everyone had a wonderful time immersed within Lavera's world, created with passion and love of craziness. Aside from my friends, Max, Nicole and Casey, the party was filled with artists, designers, people from the music world and more.

Lavera and I were introduced by the one and only Clive and Greg. I soon found out what a fabulous talent she is and I became a collector. The one I have in my dining room is called "Pharoah". We love it because it is based on Clive who supposedly is the real, modern day pharaoh.

This amazing new solo exhibition, "CHEAP CHAT" is on view at the gallery from July 7th to July 31st. Her art is an escape that transports us from the world we recognize around us. I was transported by the vivid colors and eccentric shapes. I love surrounding myself with the creative imaginations of such talented people. Artists like this continue to open my eyes and inspire me.
