Boys and Girls Club Garden Gala Event

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving local youth, ages 6 months to 18 years, was established in 1939 and serves children as young as 6 months to 18 years old from more than 40 Northern Westchester communities.

The Garden Gala Event held this past weekend was celebrating Seema Boesky. Seema is a one of kind of lady, growing up with all the celebrities at her family’s Beverly hotel days. Boesky’s ex husband, Ivan Frederick, is a former American stock trader who became infamous for his prominent role in an insider trading scandal. Seema’s life is full of colorful events, but helping the community and charity work have become her passion in life.

I was invited by Muffin Dowdle, who is on the board of the Boys and Girl Clubs in Mt. Kisco and a top real estate broker and amazing lady in our community. Martha Stweart was one of the guests at our table with Lisa Reid, Muffin’s son Geroge, his wife Jessica D’Ambrosio, Tomas , Dominique Bluhdorn , and Anni de saint Phalle .

During the event, I also met Seema’s God Son Justin Gutrierrze - a 17 year old high schooler. He recently stared a charity sending teddy bears to children in the Ukrainian. I am so happy to know Justin started this particular charity work and is helping other in needs at his young age. I know he will go very far in life under Seema’s guidance and support.

The dinner was well received and the dance started after, but unfortunately I had to go home to be ready for more events the following day. It was a busy weekend at Bedford and community.
