The 41st Annual Arthur Ross Awards

On May 23, 2022 guests gathered to celebrate the 41st Annual Arthur Ross Awards. Guests of the event included architects, designers, artisans, patrons, and many more. The Arthur Ross Awards were created to recognize and celebrate excellence in the classical tradition. Since the beginning, the awards have recognized the achievements and contributions of architects, painters, sculptors, artisans, landscape designers, educators, publishers, and others dedicated to preserving and advancing classical tradition.

I was invited by White House designer Tham Kannalikham to the event. She is a New York based interior designer and is passionate about studying historic precedent, visiting historic properties and furthering her education by attending lectures and worldwide study trips on architecture and decorative arts.

My friend, Fernando Wong, co-hosted the event. Fernando Wong has been called one of the “most influential landscape designers in America” by Elle Decor. The black tie event was something I wanted to celebrate and honor, causing me to think out of the box. Instead of wearing traditional black tie attire, I embellished my tux and incorporated an 18th century French style shirt - along with a trendy corset to jazz up the evening at this Historical University Club.

Congratulations to all the winners and designers! It was amazing to meet many famous and successful designers who are passionate about the craftsmanship and dedication of their work.
