40th Annual Fredrick Law Olmsted Awards Hat Luncheon

One event that will forever be a fabulous memory was the Hat Luncheon. I was invited by a good friend Yelena Feuerman to the Hat Event and had the opportunity to take Sydney Park, Miss NY/ Miss USA 2022 as my date. The event took place at Central Park’s Conservatory Garden located at Fifth Avenue and 105th Street and was filled with many designers and celebrities.

The Central Park Conservancy’s Women’s Committee hosted their 40th Annual Fredrick Law Olmsted Awards Hat Luncheon on Wednesday, May 4th. This luncheon was a festive affair where guests gather wear their most extravagant hats. More than 1,300 attendees gathered within the park’s Conservatory Garden and successfully raised $4M for the maintenance and management of Central Park. This celebration takes place annually to highlight the role that the public can play in supporting Central Park. As they do every year, the guests all came dressed to the nines in fabulous fascinators to celebrate one of New York’s most iconic landmarks. 

I had a great conversation with my dear friend Martha, and former New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg. There were many VIPs from New York City, the Hamptons and Greenwich area, including socialites who excitedly attended the event to kick start the 2022 Spring Season at Central Park.

I was photographed by a few magazines and was truly honored to be featured in the New York Times alongside the fabulous Gigi and Bella Hadid. For the event I decided not to wear designer clothes, but made my own designs by using granny square crochet patterns in bright colors. I felt a little creativity would make a big difference, as it often does in fashion and my outfit was well received by many.

I had a fantastic time at this event. It was an honor to be part of the luncheon and I loved nothing more than meeting new friends and philanthropists, all the while supporting the mission to preserve, maintain, and enhance the iconic Central Park.
