Round Swamp Farm is one of the classic markets part of the Hamptons culture. What looks like a small farm stand is actually a Hamptons staple with a very unique story.

At the start of the pandemic when stores, restaurants, and food markets were closing, people found themselves searching for good quality food with easy access. Carolyn Snyder and her family, the owners of Round Swamp Farm, sprang into action and began providing home cooked meals to residents. They prepared meals and delivered groceries such as chicken, milk, eggs, and more to local residents. As the family got to work, the demand for their services grew. Round Swamp Farm delivered more than 300 meals to families between Montauk and Bridgehampton, including more than 1,000 quarts of soup and hundreds of pounds of produce.

While many were in awe of their efforts, the owners and family knew this was a job meant for them. Going back generations, the family was always willing to cook up and deliver a warm cooked meal to a family in need or deliver a hot cup of soup for a friend feeling under the weather. The pandemic was just another opportunity to serve others and pay homage to their family’s lineage of givers.

Upon driving into the Hamptons, stopping at Round Swamp Farm is a must. The small shop is filled with pre-packaged meals cooked by the family using only the freshest of ingredients. Shoppers are greeted with a smile and it’s easy to feel welcomed as soon as you enter. The foods are prepared well and dishes vary from Asian, American, and Italian foods - there’s even something for the kids to enjoy. The pizza, desserts, and pies are all cooked fresh and you can smell it upon entering the store. When looking for a delicious meal, it may be easy to pick up everything you see, however there are no prices on the food so it is very easy to spend a couple hundred dollars during your time at the country market.

With that said, if you’re looking to forgo the preparation of food and simply enjoy a home cooked meal, stopping at Round Swamp Farm is a must for you and the family. The meals are cooked with love and the family is so gracious and kind, always willing to support their community and lend a helping hand.
